MAHATMA GANDHI














Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti colonial nationalist and political ethicist, who employed non violent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India’s independence from British rule, and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom.
Gandhiji was born on 2nd October,1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. The day is commemorated as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday in India. Gandhiji is Father of the Nation in India and is called Bapu. Gandhiji married Kasturba Ba. 
Gandhiji influenced leaders including Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, James Lawson, James Bevel etc. Notable European physicist Albert Einstein called him “a role model for the generations to come “. goospy honours creative and visionary person Mahatma Gandhiji.
USA President Barack Obama in the year 2010 address to the Parliament of India said “ I am mindful that I might not be standing before you today “ as President of the United States, had it not been for Gandhi and the message he shared with America and the World“.
