After doing his graduation and post graduation in engineering from IIT, Delhi ; he did his Ph.D. from Houston University, Texas, USA.

He became a lecturer in IIT, Delhi and taught former Governor, Reserve Bank Of India, Raghuram Rajan who is now settled in USA.

But this lecturer left his lucrative job in the year 1982 to live in a tribal village in Madhya Pradesh to serve tribals and work for their upliftment. 

He continues to live connected with nature and serves the people there. He chose his way. HE IS ALOK SAGAR.

He was identified suddenly when a process initiated by the government was on to count the tribal inhabitants living in the area. 

All the government officials were shocked to know about his credentials. ALOK SAGAR - Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering, Ph.D. and former lecturer in IIT, Delhi living in a remote tribal village in a hut with little facilities and having an old cycle to ride ...........for so many years.
